Early I.S. mount problem

I want to install a modern caliper on my 97 Z1 fork,it has the older I.S. mount that is severely limiting choice wise.I cant find any adapters so what options have I?

Not an easy problem to solve. I converted to post mount by using the fattest adaptor I could find with room to re-drill and tap with the narrower spacing.

You need a hope #4 or a formula caliper.....

Thanks,but the problem is early I.S. mounts have around 3mm between centres difference with anything after 2000.Im not keen on early calipers,I might have to make a template and try to mill an adapter that takes up the 3mm difference.If the Z1 wasnt such a good fork I wouldnt normally bother.

How much is the distance of the bolts (c-c)?

48.55mm from memory. I'll make another load of adaptors when I have time.
