Marin Eldridge Grade: 622 tires to 26" frame: Update 1

Just want to share. :)

Found maybe solution for brakes and "long enough pads vertical adjustment": Tektro RBP 866.
After short try of brakes I think I am going to still change fork to 28" because front brakes felt a bit "flexing" when braking hard. Reason might be distance between pads and pivots as pads are now in wrong slot.
Rear brakes felt OK.

Re:

Nice bit of bodging, put I can't imagine you get any braking power whatsoever with that set up...

One of the reasons why to go with 28" fork. Then pads would be in right position.

Well, update 1 continues after more than year. Finally I got something to ride. Fork is 28". Wheels are 28". Tires are 32- 622. So front brakepads are now correctly placed. Rear pads are in "tuned position". ;)
Pedals I will change to something else. Rear derailleur needs cable.

Bit wondering driving position but need to make longer run to see how it works.
