Found an old Flite Transalp in my shed,was a little bit weathered to say the least...

So carefully took the old leather covering off,smelt 'orrible

Bought a offcut of leather from ebay,light tan colour to match the Wildgrippers :p ,think it was about £3.50 and using some strong carpet adhesive spray recovered it.I think slightly thicker wouldve been better as some of the rough foam can be seen through the contour but its a lot better than what it was.

yup, top job. you should offer it as a paid service in the sticky thread with specific help, eg slim & elastomers etc :)
 
good work chief. i'm so pleased i found this site - it had never crossed my mind to recover my tatty saddle!!
 
Thanks chaps,its really easy to do,just make sure the leather you choose has some stretch in it,if you find a supplier then ask them for a 1" square like i did to test it.

Make sure like billinjah has said that you smoothe out the old foam/glue mix as you may get tiny lumps in it like mine,lol

Its yet to have the ride test to see how it fares with wear.
