Removing BERTs...

Anyone got any experience / tips on how to remove the BERTs from a set of Hyperlites, without damaging / marking either the bar or the BERTs please...?

I've had the fortune of only using NOS H/Ls up to this point, which always had the BERTs in a separate packet ready for fitting [or not], but now I'm forced to build with a used set of bars with them already fitted...

Failing this, has anyone got a NOS set of blue Hyperlites they'd like to sell / trade me?!

Cheers,
BB.

Re:

Hi Tom

I can't help you with getting BERT's out but do have a rather nice Blue H/L that was going on the Manitou before I went black and silver

I'll look it out and come back to you just encase you do need to size up your plan B options.

Hi Nick:

That would be great, much appreciated.

Presuming your's doesn't have the BERTs installed yet...?!

Cheers,
Tom.

Bert...? You have a muppet stuck to your bicycle?

You're the only muppet I know stuck to a bicycle.

[Admit it, you had that one coming...]

Re:

Drill a small hole in the BERT.
Insert self tapping screw, not fully, leaving 10+mm poking out. You can use a wood screw if you have to.
Hold the screw in a vice and pull.

Re:

I'm not so much stuck on removing them, it's that I really want to avoid drilling / damaging them in any way...!
