Somewhere around 1994-5 Mantis is sold by Cunningham. I think Mombat says 1994, I read 1995 somewhere else ... lets say 94-95 to be safe.
Recycling what I have read - Cunningham Mantis frames had the batch coded #s. So VL18412 would be the 4th 18" flying V of the 12th batch. From that you had to guess a bit at the year.
Post sale Mantis frames are simpler ... I am guessing? I have never actually read anything online that says its so, but a frame with the number 95VRC### is a 1995 frame? Does RC just mean Richard Cunningham or is that a coincidence and that is the new code for batch and size? I guess what follows in the frame #.
