I have a rather battered DB which at first I thought might be a Sorrento as its definitely of a lesser frame spec than a Topanga. But with manufacturers trickle down policy as regards frames it may once have been something grander. My DB looks just like the Camarillo in the archive on here for about 1992 although mine sports a horrid spraycan green apearance. I've never heard of a Camarillo, did they get imported into the UK and if not was a Camarillo a down graded Sorrento ? It certainly feels as heavy as a basic chromolly/hi-ten Camarillo frame would feel.
Either way after removing the stuck cartridge bottom bracket with a lump hammer and a hacksaw (no other of the numerous methods mentioned in Retrobike working) I now have a bike I can get back on the road eventually.
Any serial number identification system known ?
