Malvern Hills Classic 1991 - some photos

Brrrr, getting chilly in the ol scanning room, still here's those photo's I promised, more available if anyone's interested

We came across the Peugeot stand and saw Tim Gould's bike along with Fred Salmon's, we just had to get down and pray!!!

There's bonus points if anyone can get all the names of the top 10 Juniors on the start line...

A fantastic weekend and one which I'll never forget, sad to hear that in later years someone got stabbed...it really was a million miles away from this event in 1991...enjoy

yeah i went the year that guy was stabbed spent a day riding in the Malverns instead though and bumped into the rest of my club in the middle of nowhere rode till dark happy days!

Top ten on the start line or at the finish? I was in that race, as was Richard Thackery on a Pace

Thanks for posting these pic, i wasn't there in 91 but raced the classic in 92 and 93 and still rate it as my best memories in mountain biking, pasta parites, lake jumping . . . Bring back the classic!!!!!, can anyone tell when was the last year and why did it stop?

The year I went it was so badly organized 1993 or 94. Plus one year didn't some one get stabbed ? :shock:
