Show us your pre-'97 Trek

Abaca picked up a very nice '95 Trek 850 recently and on his thread I commented that we don't see many pre-'97 Treks here on RB and maybe he should kick off a 'Show us your Trek' thread.

Three days later (count 'em ... three), a '96 Trek 870 pops up on Aussie Ebay, covered in STX, and with the original Kahuna tyres, only 30 minutes drive from home.

So, like them or not, I'm taking the opportunity to kick off the Trek thread. :D

Here's the 870 - used three times and then left in a garage for over 16 years. Today I got around to washing the crud off it, and it came up lovely.

Re:

Like it very clean and original, Here's mine which I never finished, I love old treks - I must get this back off my mate who borrowed it, used it once and stashed it in his garage - bugger

1995 Trek 990. Owned it since new when I raced it in the Youth Scottish MTB Series and British NPS.

The Trek out in the woods

Would that happen to be a 930 single track XC?

If it is I have one very similar, shod with 'city jets' & used as a daily commuter, whips roadie & single speeds pretty much all day long.

Here is my 1984 Trek 830 (sorry for the terribly fuzzy pic).

All original Suntour Mountech/Diacomp in fantastic purple sparkle paint!
