Not really a retro bike (except in the way SS bikes sort of are...) but on scanning the MTBR SS forum I came across this lovely looking number:

Yep, Black Sheep cycles are nice though major bucks.

Industry nine wheels are totally chill...though major bucks.

Of course, what doesn't cost a lot now and days... :)

I will never get used to 29 inch wheeled mountain bikes. But the weels look incredible, are the spokes painted? Can you buy the spokes only (perhaps in other colors?).

No, they're anodised - they're sold as part of a complete wheelset because they are straight, and thread into the hub rather than the nipple - the hubs look similar to the old Pulstar hubs.

Yeah, we had this thread about Industry Nine in the German Singlespeed Forum discussing the pros and cons. There even is some English in it. Those of you who can't read the other words might just be fond of the pic. ;)
