I'm guessing the issue is confirming it is 853 or not, if you can than yeah, £100 is some way off.

I suppose I could check with the man himself. So if it's 853 it's worth 100?

Dont know, not many come up. More like £200 if it is maybe more. Depends what you want to do, if its make a quick return, whack it on ebay with decent photos and a better description and offer postage. Then it'll reach the most but you have to factor in 10% fees.

Hey all.

I have two sets of wheels, one White Industries on Mavic and the other WTB on WTB (built by Gravy, FWIW). The White Industries ones have pink alloy nipples. Photos of both are below.

The reason for asking is that a friend is after some wheels for their 96 Rockhopper. I'm totally happy to give them a set, so money may not come into it, but if one of these two sets is more desirable then the other, I'd perhaps rather keep those ones - otherwise I'm torn, they both look great!

I'd also be keen to know rough dates for each set?

Just cause I'm posting here, I also have a Hope hubbed, Ti spoked, ceramic Swami (?) rimmed front, and thoughts on that would be appreciated too!

They are all in good to very good condition.

Thanks.

Well the modifications will hamper it. Single speed or workaround means I reckon £100 max.

yeah thats what i was thinking too, it's kind of a small target audience for that frame. shame as it would be a great frame otherwise....(853 steel & classic) perhaps ill throw it up on here and see if anyone wants it?? ;)

Hi folks, new to the forum and was wondering if you folks could help me what this is worth before it hits ebay or classifieds.
I have been carrying this frame and bits of groupset around for years with the intention of building it into a single speed commuter. Anyway Im a dad now with little time or space for it and have decided it has to go.
It has a good few scratches but is pretty sound, have a look.

The frame is complete with stem and Richey pro lite bars and a deore xt headset.

Also I have the following groupset components

Suntour XC pro microdrive crank plus chainring

Suntour XC comp microdrive derailleur

Suntour XC pro thumb shifters

Suntour XC pro front derailleur

Richey logic brake levers

Front and back cantilevers, possibly Richey.

Although a bit dirty the parts all appear to be in good condition save for the bolts holding the brake blocks which are a tad rusty.
Pics of the groupset here.

The ebay purchase should be a good guide. Add in the fact the advert was misspelt and bundled in with a road bike, I would guess at abour £100 plus which is a great investment on £170 paid! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/racing-bikes- ... 3a7ebea8c2

Christ! Is that not one of the dodgiest Ebay listings ever?

Haha!! Terrible!

As a Guide i would say the frame is up to 200.

Crank up to 50

Rear mech up to 35

Front mech up to 25

Thumbies up to 40

Levers up to 30

Brakes (which look like dia compe something's) up to 30.

Condition will dictate a lot. You could get more for mint and less for wrecked. People will always make offers but those prices above are a guide for you.

Luke
