How do I remove the little half moon spacers from a set of XT V Brake levers? I want to remove one of the spacers from one of the levers, but I don't want to go trying to force it out in case I break it!

Thanks

Done it :)

There's a little screw on the underside of each spacer. Undo that and the spacer comes out..

*Note to self - Check the levers properly before asking next time!

Anyone know where you can find these half moon spacers? I have a a pair of XT V leavers, but one side is missing 'em.

Ask someone who has just taken them out if you can have them.
I have probably lost the ones from my levers.

Leave them out and enjoy better braking.
It's the proper way.

Re:

I didnt realise you removed them, I thought they just moved to the other side of the roller?

Re:

You can refit them, but they become 'servowave' if you don't
So large cable pull at the start, then when they hit the rims the position switches* to the inside and you get proper braking power and modulation.

Best of both words (as used on Cantilevers m900 etc but they where guided so no choice of 'hitting the rim' preference.)
