Ok, so I didn't actually have a heart attack yesterday afternoon, but I'm pretty sure I know what one feels like now. Last week I found a retro bike I was interested in on Kijiji. I live about 45 minutes west of the city. My buddy lives about 45 minutes north. The bike was a few miles away from him in his town, so I got him to go and grab it for me. He emailed me Saturday saying it was in the shape that was advertised, just needed a good clean, and was in his car. Over the course of the day he emailed me pics of a few parts he had sitting around and wanted to know if I was interested in them (Shorty-ish stem, some brakes and stuff). We work fairly close to each other, so he said he'd drop by my work Monday afternoon. Pops in around 4ish, and I go out to his car to unload the bike. Opens his trunk (the seats were flipped forward and starts unloading boxes of stuff for me. I was seriously speechless (and that don't happen often). I had picked up a Salsa hat and some DK T-shirts a few weeks ago to give to him. Damn, I'm gonna need to up the ante......and go christmas shopping.

Brodie Climbmax F+F. Needs TLC. I'm guessing 88-89 from the 1st gen curved Gatorblade. Have to email the S/N to Paul and find out.

Unknown Ti rigid fork. If anyone can identify it from the dropouts/bosses, I'd like to know what it is.

Some 1.9 Ritchey tires. New, but the air hasn't treated them well. Good for a non rider/wall art, I guess.

There's a bunch of other stuff in boxes I haven't got to yet. Crowns, headsets, etc.I better get a hold of my buddy who works at a liquor store in KY and have some damn good bourbon and potato vodka shipped up to even the score.

The bike I bought? I'll take some pics once I get it cleaned up.

Alpine stars ti forks? Ti project 2?

The 2nd gen. Alpinestars look close, but have aluminum collars that the bosses are bolted to. I was thinking P2s at first glance, but because of the rarity, thought not. After looking at pics of P2s, it looks like they may be.

There was only one set I know of for sale around here a few years ago. It's possible his brother bought them, and these are them.

Would love the toplines for my Zaskar.

Not sure what I'm going to do with them. Was thinking maybe the Dekerf. I have forged Syncros on it at the moment. It's my baby, and a sticking point with me about how they're newer than the rest of the bike/parts by a few years. Again, that's a definite maybe.

   A Climbmax and some Ti P2's no to mention the rest of the swag. I'm very, very jealous

Oh, and we haven't even seen the bike yet
