Hi all, I used the search function but didn't find any threads on this exact topic. I was just wondering which brake pads people prefer to buy for retro cantilevers? Back in the day I seem to remember Aztec and kool stop pads (and the higher end shimano) being highly rated, but I've not seen these for sale on CRC...

I got some Aztec blocks from eBay for about £4.00 a pair, for my Pace RC200,and they are as good as I remember.

Ritchey ones are good, the blue wet weather ones are soft as cheese but brake nicely, probably only good for about 300 miles a set.

M-System Shimano's are durable but too hard for snappy stopping.

KoolStops are well overpriced but good.

Fibrax are good all round and cheap, OEM supplier as a guess, been in the bike brake the business for ages.
