Does anyone have a binding issue on the rear brake when using v brakes on a canti Zaskar ?

Mine is a 94 and the cable binds like a mofo, was not too bad till I got it ditched Friday over Cannock chase

Cheers

Anthony

No.

Never.

I ran the first generation XT v's on my 93 model which will have the same routing as yours and simply stuffed a cable outer with a ferrule up the existing ti cable guide at the back of the frame, just under the top tube.

So ignore the the little guide on the seat tube and stuff that cable right up!

Ah this may help me and my talera. Twatted the wheels in but didn't stuff the rear brake with a ferrule.

Cheers for that but the 94 uses a stupid guide that's not very clever to stick the out cable into . The 93 has a great guide with a bit more room .

After hammering the Zaskar today in the mud again its gone stiff

Ill have to try a sealed brake cable
