Seatpost size for a 1991 Explosif? I'm thinking 26.6?
A-C measurement for the above P2 fork, I'm thinking 410mm? If in the absence of finding such a fork, would a 425mm fork such as the Salsa Cromoto really affect the handling that much?

Thanks in advance.

I think axle to crown rigid forks from c.1991 would more likely have been around the 390mm mark. Those forks you have in mind may be too long.

Welcome to the site mate. I think the seatpost size was 27.0mm on the 91 Explosif i used to have and the forks were 390mm A/C.

Forks definitely 390mm a-c non suspension corrected era :) the 410mm were from 94 on suspension corrected geometry.

You can generally get away with going one increment longer. results going 2 longer are much more mixed.

27.0mm on my HOT so guessing Explosif will be the same.

I have a nice Syncros if you're interested?

I used that as a guide when i got my Explosif, tried a 26.8mm first and had to tighten the seatclamp to much for my liking i switched to a 27.0mm and it was spot on.
