Right.......gonna keep this simple.......

I'm faced with four ritchey logic canti's, four springs and four plastic caps........

Am I right in saying that the action of the brakes should roll the coiled spring tighter, rather than opening the spring up, or does it just not matter?.......

Not really sure why I've never considered this before to be honest....... :?

Anyway, thanks in advance chaps........ :D

Pretty sure my shimano's wind themselves tighter.

They were also colour coded in zinc silver and zinc gold - that was OK, until I re-plated them ...

The tails on the springs were a different length to (I think), so it was possible to suss everything out with a bit of messing around :D

Good luck ...

As the brake arm moves towards the rim, the spring coil should tighten and the longer 'tail' on the spring should fit into to brake boss holes too.
