Little help please , does anyone know where I can obtain some replacement 'O' rings for XT seat post quick release , and wheel skewers ? , as mine have perished to bits :cry:

will a cheap set off ebay not cover this? you can get sets with loads of sizes for around £3-£4...?? whats it look like?

Hi twain, yup its those rings I'm after , but at nearly $7 for them plus shipping I'll give them a miss, but thanks for the link :)

I did actually buy a big set from aldi for about £ 3 the other day, great selection and there was some the perfect diameter but they were not thick enough to fill the recess :(

Try a local hydraulics shop. They generally carry a full selection of O-rings.

Thanks didn't know if it would be a standard size or something weird , I'll have a look around at the weekend at the local hardware places :)

A decent motor factors/ car shop will have them.. I have also have used local plumbing suppliers,,just take the component with you,,I got some locally for a whopping 10 pence each! :shock: :D

I think I paid less than £2 for 10 o rings delivered from evil bay - different size, but not massivly so, I guess these would be similar :D

I've been measuring up a dx skewer and I'm going to give the 14mm I/D x 5mm cross section a go as in the link, will report back on the fit.
