Hi all '
Was wondering if anyone out there has tried to lacquer over a powder coated finish frame in order to seal in transfers . Does it work , or would there be a chemical reaction ? Thinking of maybe getting a re-finish done on a new project  .Thanks ,Mike

Yep, fine, done it, just treat it like any normal paint.

Make sure it is well wiped down with panel wipe first, as some gloss powdercoat has a waxy residue that the clear won't stick to very well.
Give it a key first before you apply the lacquer, but mind the decals

I just done exactly that, got my Cannondale powder coated, aplied the new decals, keyed the surrounding frame with a scotchbrite pad & then gave it to a bodyshop to Laquer over. Lovely!

I'll see if I can find the pics of the frame resto.
