This has been going on long enough nearly a year in fact, and with winter looming fast I need to get the Raleigh Kalahari on the road so as to save my roadbike from damage :(

Seatpost diameter is the problem, I have tried various ones along with peoples recommendations and still I am seatpostless :(

I tried a 26.4 diameter earlier today but this is too large, the first 2 mm or so goes in (ooer  ) but that's all. There does not appear to be any damage to the frame.

Anyone shed any light, I cant keep buying seatposts

Buy a set of calipers for £5 and measure it. You'd be surprised how useful they are.
