Heartbreaking news. Martyn is such a nice and positive person.

Wishing him all the very best of thoughts and wishes.

I met him at Newnham park in Plymouth around 1998/9 and he was a super sound bloke. A really genuine guy.
Terrible news, really hoping he comes through this.

Terrible news and I wish him the speediest of recoveries. He is in the spinal unit my dad was in after a similar injury and they got him walking again at 72! Fingers crossed.

:( A few words from Doddy: http://magazine.bikeradar.com/2013/09/1 ... kicks-ass/

and a great picture from back in the day: http://magazine.bikeradar.com/files/201 ... Hawyes.jpg

The geek in me spies a pair of early Kona Project 2s on Martyn's bike.... I hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Watch this vid to witness his bike skills: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZmJtYaUTa0 the best bits are at 3m & 4m 30s

The link below is to a Pinkbike article about Road bike Party 3, with Sam Pilgrim, that Ashton directed

http://m.pinkbike.com/news/road-bike-pa ... -2014.html

It gives a bit of info about what he's been up to since the accident.

And you can always watch a bit of Chainspotting to remember how it was bitd....http://m.pinkbike.com/news/Old-School-T ... tting.html
