I was discussing this with Barneyballbags at the weekend.

He had an 1998(I think) 18" STS that was the same size as my 20" On-One. But C-C was 16.5 C-T was 19"

I had a 1997 16" LTS that when built up was also the same size as my On-One.

I have a 1997 20" Zaskar that is huge. Way bigger than my On-One

And I tried a GT Arrowhead yesterday that was 18" and the top of the top tube was the same height as my On-One.

So how do they measure the frames. Do they make it up on a day to day basis?
Is the 18" Zaskar that's on its way to me going to fit me at 6'4"?
Will the hole in the ceiling of the Nescafe couple get fixed?
Will Ian Rush ever drink milk again or is he destined to play for Accrington Stanley?

GT's are measure C- T

The LTS/ STS's are a bit different due to the need to put the pivots in a specific place so the physical seat tube C-T size has to be yay big - the top tub length is correct for the given size.

Generally i go on top tub length to give me the right reach than worry about size (i've a 17" KHS with a real long top tube and a Proflex 955 in a 19" with a top tube that about .5" shorter than the KHS)

if your 6'4" a 20 wouds probably fit you better

Not sure this helps but I'm 6ft 2" and all my offroad Gt's are 18". I had a 20" and it felt too big for me off road.
My Timberline commuter is a 20" however as I prefer the bigger size on the road.

All my 18" Gt's have a 22" ctc top tube.
