Decided to cut down on the number of bikes I have by getting rid of those I haven't ridden for a while.

I've just sold my Univega Alpina 5.7 to a good friend for a knock down price to help him get back into cycling after some health problems.

I gave it a full service, put the original rigid fork back on, and went for a 10 mile trial run. What a brilliant ride, much better than my old Eldridge Grade or Cinder Cone.

Never mind, I've made him promise to sell it back at the same price if he doesn't get on with it.

Perfect! Offer to take him on an "easy ride" to help get back in the groove then choose the steepest, nastiest route in the area. Afterward you can graciously offer to take the bike back.
