Location: At The Gates Of Dawn
On my way home from work, braked at lights and the back suddenly felt very strange....

The tyre had forced the sidewall of the rim outwards...

I was going slowly and the tyre didn't quite come off the rim.
All in all, a lucky escape and only a few hundred yards from home :D

Possibly wouldn't have happened had you been using spokes.

don't laugh...i use spokes and this never happened to me!
anyone else?



what did actually happen? was it a welded rim? or was this the original join?
