I used some fine sandpaper, then wet+dry.

Many thanks for the ideas.

I was first thinking to unscrew the bosses and then dip them in stripper, but knowing my luck can imagine the disaster that could prevail...
Especially with the old alu forks. :wink:

Think I'll use the Stanley knife method then a light abrasive.
I don't really want to spend money on stripper for such a small job.
