hi all
which of the three generations of brodie u-brake braces do you prefer?
they are shown is chronolgical order.
no holes.
round holes
rectangular holes

will be the 2nd generation style. they seem to be the most common.
i only have one each of the 1st and 3rd generation. you are looking at them.

I just have. First generation, provide some mud protection to the arms, easier to clean, like the look. :)
 
3rd... most elegant design, but you should build for yourself, not for popularity

the intent of this poll was to impart a bit of knowledge,
not which to use based on popularity.
i'm sure there are numerous individuals out there who like
brodie bikes and weren't aware that there
were several styles of u-brake braces manufactured.
hope someone learned something here. :)
how about a couple more votes gang.

Third generation for sure, it's really similar to what I did to my Manitou three brace, I had a vision of exactly that style of weight relief:
