My chain snapped on Sunday - luckily I was hundred metres or so from my house. Quick split link later and off on a nice jolly.
Had the BB work loose last week, decided to keep riding as wasnt far from home, then hd the handle bar stem bolts work loose. It all felt very unwieldily by the time I got there. bars rotating and leaning one way, BB flexing and wobbling the other, very odd feeling.

But Sod's law says if you'd actually wanted to get that chain set off you'd have needed dynamite to shift it.

All I've ever had happen is snapping the axle on an XT pedal pounding up Ketts Hill on my way home from work...
