Or you could argue that a pleasant but overrated bike went for closer to its true value for a change.

Wasn't aware that a P7 was "overrated". They're a good bike, which can be had for reasonable money.
There are plenty of other far more overrated bikes on here than a P7!

Never under estimate the impact collection only has though. Plenty of bikes I've fancied have been up north, miles away from me. The chances of a local bidding war on a bike are a lot less than a national one.

It's clearly overrated in the OPs mind as they've opined it was worth more than it actually sold for.
