Good evening,

Need to replace headset on new project Proflex , I have had a look around but cannot find a dummies guide to taking the fork off ? Its the Girvin Vector 2

Any help or Advice welcome

Undo the stem and the bolt of the top crown thing as well as top shock mount. Then steerer should come out.

Yeah, I've just finished rebuilding a pair of Girvin Cross Links today :D

Have a look here: http://www.suspensionforkparts.net/GirvinInstall.php for some very wordie details of what to do

and make sure you also look here:

http://www.suspensionforkparts.net/other_manuals.php

You'll need to click on the 'Girvin Vector Forks' link on the right of the page. This will then download a pdf that has great simple to follow instructions on how to strip your forks to enable you to replace the elastomers

I've just fitted a set of their elastomers and they are far superior to the original ones!
