CSI: MTB - any clue what kind of bike this is?

I got this from the local thrift store but no clue what kind of bike it is. I have searched through hundreds of pictures and catalogues with no luck. The unique detail on it is the under-monostay u-brake. It seems very rocky mountain-ish but havent been able to find a match.

Perhaps someone has seen something like it before?

Looking at the similarity between the detailing and the wishbone in pictures 1 and 2, I'd say that it could be a RM too

Great chance it's a Rocky. Have you found the serial number already? That might give an indication. Usually you find it under the bottom bracket shell.

Another RM vote here. the seat tube details and stays look to similar not to be. Could be wrong though.

The location of the rear U-brake is typical for smaller frames.

The "Taper" sticker looks very much like the art from Easton's Taperlight logos. Certainly doesn't have anything to do with the manufacture, I think.

I vote Wedge too.

Same steep head angle, and upside down U-brake as the one in the '88 catalog.

it doesnt appear to have a very extended seattube then if it is a wedge
