Picked up a Cannondale off Ebay to use as a donor bike for my next project,for which I have a nice 3.0 series frame and pepperoni forks and little else.Very happy got 2x Mavic 231 wheels on LX hubs,set of DX cantis,XT shifters and a load of bits,all for £64.Wheels need trueing and a spoke replaced,but I knew that from the description.Other than that I got a working suntour XCM front mech and a DX rear shifter with a broken adjuster screw where the cable goes into the rear of the mech (can you get spares).
Attached to the redundant frame are a set of front forks without markings.Out of interest can anyone tell me what these forks are?I can see where there might once have been a large oblong sticker at the top of the left hand leg.When I bounced them I got about 1.0" of sluggish movement,which feels like an elastomer fork to me.
