Went round a mates for a take out/couple of beers at weekend.......been mates for years, he's ridden some of my rides, we've shared conversations on the subject of my odd passion with old bikes on many occasions......etc etc.......

He slipped into the convo the fact that he's started riding to work.

'Oh yeah?.....good for you mate.....what are you using?' I asked......

'This.......was quite good in its day I think' he replied......

Opens his shed door and wheels out a 1991 team Marin time capsule, full xt, mavic wheels, thumbies.....you get the picture!.....

'Bloke gave me this n'all.......never used it'.......

Then produces a nos flexstem!......

I was a bit speechless.......had I been speaking French for the past few years?!.....wasn't he listening?.... :facepalm: :facepalm:

.....I didn't know wether to laugh or clip him round the ear!.....he was oblivious!....

Fair play, maybe you could buy him something 'more suitable' from Halfords and take the Marin off his hands?
