Can anyone recommend a bike shop in Camberley? Somebody on another forum is seeking one to maintain their sons Carrera MTB as he's been let down by Halfords with regards to a chain replacement which constantly keeps breaking. Cheers in advance.

Not Camberley but Berkshire Cycles in Crowthorne is a reliable place to go.

Why a bike shop? I am sure that someone on here would be happy to help out to the tune of a beer token or two. probably save money over a shop as well. Otherwise I agree with the doc above, Berkshire Cycles saw me through many repairs to by bike as a kid.

What about the one behind crowthorne station? I forget what it is called? Are Actioncycles still in Camberley? Probably been consumed by the re-development of the town centre.

Nothing at all! Bloody love a good bike shop. Just if someone can be taught to do some work themselves should they be inclined to want to learn, I see that as a good thing. Plus it might save them a few quid too. Just making suggestions, thats all!

One behind crowthorne station is still there under a new moniker. Mostly high end kit though and they may get all snobby over a carrera where as BC will be fine.

Because most people would rather trust a certified professional than some bloke their workmate found on the internet?

Cheers, passed the info about Berkshire Bikes on, apparently Halfords have now made amends by fitting a new cassette and chain that match the OE spec rather than mixing parts.
