I have to confess I know nothing about these. Can someone educate me please?

I'd like to buy one for my old Offroad but I'd like to make an informed decision before parting with my cash. The current (to be replaced) cup & cone axel is stamped 68 (assuming that's the shell width?) and 122.5 (which is the length) but what are the differences between a CT21 an LP27 a UN40 a UN51 a UN52 a UN71 a UN72 and a UN91?

Basically as the first digit gets bigger the quality gets higher. Anything less than a UN5x is a waste of money that will die quickly.

You can still get un54/55 new

And you need the correct "tool" to fit the bottom bracket, if you don't already have it.
