Impulse buy on ebay, I knew about the stuck seat post but was ok with this challenge, however the BB is tight and not moved yet, but also found a pin prick hole and obviously with a bit of poking has enlarged.
Is it worth a repair or economically not viable?

Also can anyone identify the frame and forks, have been surprised how narrow it is for the wheel width? also the forks have thread inserts for front rack mounts halfway up fork leg

With the horizontal drop outs was thinking of a retro single speed build!

That's not surface rust. repairing it would require replacing at least a part of the chainstay, which is not easy nor viable. R.I.P. Saracen.

Looks like a 91 limited edition. Not as high end as it sounds! Xc-jimbo has one for £25 ish frame forks etc so no, not worth repairing I'm afraid.

Looks like that's been in storage at the bottom of a canal for the last 10 years. I wouldn't take on repairin that unless it was my unicorn bike or a rare example that deserves it. Sounds like it neither.
