Hope Pro 3 Hubs

I have been offered some Hope Pro 3 hubs for use on my mountain bike
Are these suitable for XC Mountain bike use?
A lot of muddy gloop here in the Thames Valley and they are listed as road hubs from what I can see

Please educate me

As far as I know they are the same as Pro2 but without the disc mount. They may be 130mm width so check that first.

There were at least two different versions of the Pro 3, one as described above and a second one that's disc brake and has straight pull spokes.

I use a pro 3 hub on my Klein, it is an excellent hub. You can get either 130mm road width or 135mm mtb width. I think you can get a spare part from Hope to convert a 130mm to 135mm.

Slight "addage" to the above ....

They do indeed come in 135mm spacing.

I ran a set for a while.

Very nice, light hubs.

Will take all the grime you can throw at them.

IIRC the Pro 3 runs SS bearings a la the most current Pro2 Evo hubs.

They follow on from the hope mono hub, in the same way hope pro2 follow on from the hope xc hub.
Of course a quick visit to their website will tell you all of this.
