Dating a GT stem

Could any GT experts pin a date down on this stem? Any idea what model it came on originally?

It has the ovalized stem tube and GT cast into the cap on the end of the stem, by the quill bolt. I can snap more pics if necessary.

Just curious.

I remember seeing those on Karakorams in about 1992 maybe?/.

I'm fairly sure they were on a few models at the time. I'm sure they were on Tequesta's and Pantera's but I'd need confirmation on the latter

Just picked up a 92 Avalanche with a similar stem.

Guessing 90 as the flip flop II's were on the 92 model year bikes that had the groove tube frames. My 90 Team Avalanche had a similar stem.
