Hi guys I'm thinking of changing the XT M750 v brake calipers on my M trax for something a bit more special and better performing

How are Paul Motolites? Decent V brakes? And were they or similar made in around 1998 - 2000 ??

And how do they compare to Avid Ultimates? Or other boutique options?

Sounds good
How straight forward to set up compared to Avids ?
Me thinks they'll be my next purchase

Sorry my reply was brief I was doing something else
they are infinitely adjustable as the canti mount is on a sliding arrangement on the arm of the V
so you can adjust the pad / rim position and toe in all with one twist of a hex key
the pads are then also adjustable with the concentric cups allowing minute adjustment before you cinch them up
these same Vs are also used by BMX boys.
The only critisism folks have is in the brake levers not having a spring tensioner to pull the lines taught relying
instead on the spring tension in the V`s to pull the lever back which is fine if you maintain your stuff regularly as I do
but no good if you are the type to ride then chuck the bike in the garage dirty for a month and expect her to love you
back when you feel in the mood to ride again.

Thanks man
I was wondering
What levers go with the motolite v brakes?
Paul love or duplex or e-lever??
Confusing
