im going to be doing another build soon and I want to use cantis I was just wondering what are a good make to go for that won't break the bank

anything XT 7xx series, or m900 if you're a little more flush.

DX M650 cantis are every bit as good as the XT M734's and you should be able to pick up a full set with all the hardware for about £20...XTR M900 your looking at more like £45 at least!

I have dx m650's on a couple of bikes and a set of xt m737's on another. The M737's are great and look nice too.

There aint. Lot to choose. A bit of rigid alloy that holds a brake pad/block. Provided there setup properly thaere's not much to choose between nine out of ten of them.
