Question about RC35 MXC

I'm rebuilding an old MXC, just wondering what was the central part i haven't,(a longer elastomer, or two shorters, or a spring....) here: http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o276/mik0312/Page3.jpg, figure 8

There were about 8 elastomers in each leg, though it depends on the model/travel you want. I think you can get a spring conversion, but unless you have the rebound damper in yours I wouldn't go down the spring route.

For an MXC fork (40mm travel) there are only 6 elastomers per leg (just see at the tech doc a few lines below)

, and this mysterious part.
I also could set my MXC as my MXCD, with 8 elastomers and 50mm travel, i've enough elastomers for that, but perhaps not enough spacers :?:
