Thinking of my next project :)

What are people opinions on a strong steel bike frame from the 70s/80s weight is not an issue.

And also interested in what ones you have broken ?

My Fuji's the closest to that
Got a couple of Cannondale's that fit your brief too

The Fuji was ridden at the mac retro national at Innerleithen last year and it was a bloody brilliant bike for the big day out comfy ,fast ,pretty
Not the easiest of things to find tho

Dawes ,Saracen ,khs , univega might be the way to go

Even generalized from that era are scarce

All the broken ones I've seen have been due to the 8 feet of seat post sticking out and levering at the rear of the cross bar. Choose an appropriately sized frame and his shouldn't befall you.
