In many cases the only difference between models was the groupset anyway, so what's the big deal?

...and one seasons Cinder Cone became a Lavadome the next, ditto Stumpjumpers and Rockhoppers.

enter into the spirit of what we used to do eh, upgrading parts is all i could afford as a kid.

I had a raleigh euro with deore kit for gods sake!

talk about shite frame eh, it was 10 times better than the sachs huret it came with lol

I had a blue Townsend with good old Deore XT and DX on in the end. I assume the frame had a name but heyho it was not posh.
