Removing decals?

any ideas on how to remove decals from a frame? Bringing it to the powdercoater tomorrow, but they wanted a frame whitout decals for some reason.

Thanks for your quick reply! Does this method effect the coat at all? This frame gets a fresh colour, so its not a problem. But interested to know what the best way is if you want to save the original paint
 
Lighter fluid worked for me on my Saracen without damaging the paint work.

It also gets rid of the all the bits left over too...
 
Not damaged the paint in my experience...also before you take the decal off a blast with a hot hairdryer helps loosen things up too (the wifes hairdryer too as these days I'm slightly folically challenged!)

+ 1 with the wifes hairdrayer :D
 
I'd be careful with nail varnish remover as it can remove the laquer.
Hairdryer is good, so is petrol especially for getting the reminants off.
