Precision Billet & XT Thumbies set up?

Hi there,

My RC200 is nearly finished, but I remember reading a thread about Precision Billet rear mechs and their compatibility with Shimano cassettes.

I'd like to run my precision billet rear mech with a pair of Deore XT thumbies.

Can anyone advise on a suitable set up, as i've yet to find a cassette or chain? (similar post in wanted section)

I ran mine with a an XT 8spd cassette. There were no 'compatibility' problems mentioned at the time. True, the mech doesnt have the floating top jockey of Shimano but clean cables/ quality inner/ outer made sure shifting was spot on.

I ran mine with thumbies and road STi.
