Run some xt m730 cranks on my Klein attitude

They constantly come loose- side to side play

New cranks or bottom bracket axle?

Thanks chaps

another consideration is the torque settings for the bolts, they should be way tighter than you may initially think.......i had the same issue on a bike until i did them up to proper torque spec and havent had a problem since..... :D

i had a problem of a loosening bolt on my drive side crank arm, didn't matter what I did, came loose. LBS said stick a spring washer on it, so we did right there, never came loose again.

If the cranks have lossened on the axle whilst being ridden, its likely the square taper in the crank has worn out of shape & will never stay tight again.

I've used thread-lock (Loc-tite) successfully a few times (liberally applied to the taper and a bit on the bolt).

In one case I used some Araldite on the taper - might need to bash the crank to get it off again, but if the alternative is binning it anyway...
