Could it be a Saracen Trekker Hydrotech? About 1991?
Looks very like my Trekker Comp, apart from green-ness, and the triple guides along the top tube look like they are for hose. Saracen used 11/4" XT headsets on their top end bikes and DX on the rest.
Gravy Monster has one at http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38566/

A hydrotech frame would make sense, looking at those guides..

i think the frame is 1 1/4 headtube too
cheers guys........rather hoping it was a zaskar!!!
the escort is a xr3i in mineral blue.....one of only 7 in that colour :D
when we bought it, it was a rs1600i replica, but a genuine mineral blue xr is rarer than a rs, let alone a non real rs!! so it is going back standard :D
right....lets check this saracen pic out!!
