I've not been out to the Siemens training centre in Germany for nearly 3 years, and I left my 1988 Jamis Dakota out here.
I was very happy to find it exactly as I left it!!

I just unlocked it and rode it back to where I am staying!
I drove here straight from the Brighton Big Dog, so have a tool kit with me.
The old girl is going to get a good service and some welcome miles in proper summer conditions 8)

That last picture is a nice way to ruin a rear mech.

And as for leaving a bike behind like that ...

The rear mech is fine. It just looks like its resting on the rack frame.
I had no idea when I left it that it would be this long until I returned.
Until that point, I'd been coming out here at least twice a year.
I may bring it back with me this time, although I'm booked to come back in Feb so fancy some more of the snow action from my thread above :D
The other problem is that, if I bring it back, I'd have no room for it so would need to sell it and I don't really want to do that

If you had left that in some places in the UK. Their wouldn't have been a bike to collect.

I love it here.
The way of life is so much better than the UK. You can leave things like this around and not have to worry about it.
My German language courses start in October, then I'll be looking at a long term transfer
