We actually talked to them about making a Smoke and it was going to be a more expensive tire than the Timbuk II due to construction techniques. The blackwall Smoke is still available and some places had older stock (before the big price hikes) so the natural skinwall tire would have been over twice as expensive. Wasn't sure if there would be enough interest?

We can always do a poll to see if there is enough interest at the prices Panaracer would ask. Perhaps with deposits if you're unsure that people would really commit?

They do not have moulds for older tires, we checked. The mould cost is somewhere in the $5-$7,000 range which makes it prohibitively expensive for a small run of tires.
