...very similar regime to the one I used to follow;

Unfortunately I injured a shoulder because my muscles were stronger than the joint: decline bench pressing allowed me to remove some of the leverage on my shoulders but still use heavy enough weights. Seated dumbell presses allowed me more control over the weight and helped my recovery.

I also always preferred free weights... Image
