Hello All !

I joined for a couple of months this forum. I read the forum periodically, but I did not write something because my English is not the best one and I do not have as much knowledge as most members do.

I have an old Lapierre XC bike from 93, with full Shimano Deore Lx (canti), rigid fork and a mag 21.
I started with MTB in 93 and I am still riding !

I had a Sunn Bmix (2001), I still have a Bmix 2002 (to go to work), and have a lot of new stuffs (enduro, DH, trial, 4x ...)

I have a Manitou X vert DC, and one of the first marzocchi Z1 bomber (the one with two disc brake mounts, right and left side !)

I am not really an old school collector, but I like to read some old MTB magazines, like to show some old school bikes (I specially love Klein, Kestrel, Sunn or GT) or to know the story of a brand.

I love this forum because there is a lot of information, and very nice bikes.

Thanks !

La Bourde

stumbled over here following a link f/the MTBR forums. i rode f/1992-2000 & then took 12 yrs off. now just getting back into it - was also a shop wrench for 3 yrs & had 6 different steel hardtails including:

- '93 Bontrager Race
- '92 Bridgestone MB-1
- '93 Kona Hahanna
- '94 Lava Dome
- '98 Team Marin

my last bike was a '95 Specialized FSR Team

just bought a '93 Paramount & am trying to decide what to do w/it. already have a vintage kit to install (sans cranks/rear wheel) on something.
oh yeah - the '98 Cuda Cat is mine too...for sale if anyone wants it ($50 + shipping).

my aesthetic is older chromoly frames (now looking into steel full suspension options like the Barracuda A2Fast & similar).

thx for reading & also creating this site - it's a terrific reference!

Hi, been riding for as long as I can remember.

Got 5 bikes at the mo:

GT LTS-1 (currently restoring back to it's former glory)
Trek Madone (very special bike only comes out for special occasions)
Cannondale Prophet 1000 (hits the trails when the wife/kids allow!)
Genesis Croix De Fer (used as a winter commuter)
Scott Speedster 3.0 (used as a summer commuter)

Found this site after searching for some info on the LTS.

I'll post a couple of pics of the Genesis and Cannondale later

Hello from Portland Oregon USA. Found this site after looking for info about the Klein Attitude Moonrise I just picked up. Love looking at all the sweet bike from years gone by.

I started riding and racing MTB in the early 90's after I got out of motocycle road racing and needed something to fill the void. The past few years I was mostly into riding my single speed 29er when I lived in the midwest but now that I live in the Pacific North West I'm into all kinds of riding. Currently I own:

1993 Klein Attitude Moonrise
1997 Intense Uzzi DH
1997 Specialized Stumpjumper (polo bike)
2003 Obea Road bike
2007 Redline Conquest Team (Cyclecross)
2009 Trek XO1 (Cyclecross)
2009 Salsa Selma SS 29er
2009 Cannondale Rise One
2011 Giant Glory 00

Hi everyone, Carl here, heard an about this site from my Local Bike Shop, just after acquiring an Alpinestars Cro-Mega which was in need of some TLC and is being restored with some original parts mixed with Retro upgrades and some new parts! I hope this will do it justice as I have always wanted an Alpinestars.
I've been Mountain Biking since 1990 and still remember my First bike Al Carter Saratoga 2, not the best but lasted well! And from then had many bikes which now wish I had kept, never mind can start again!
I've been welcomed on here by many, and find everyone on here very friendly and helpful. "See you on the hills!"
