Hi Dan here after years of mountain biking and having a few different bikes over the years, all would be classed as pretty retro now. I got a old Coyote HT4 to build not sure on the year but I'm using the rigid forks off an old Coyote I used to have. Has anyone else got one of these?

Hello all.
I've been aware of this site for quite a while but have only ever been a casual voyeur...
For me it's mainly been about sloping top tubes and lashing of anodized bits, but I'm now beginning to look closer at late 80's and early 90's bikes with taller geometry more akin to road bikes.
I have plenty of questions and hope to speak to you all soon!
Loola.

Hi all.

I have several bikes, I usually build my own, I wanted a winter project so I picked up this, its in need of a bit of TLC but the frame is sound, I will post some pics when its finished, original Rock Star tyres with plenty of life in the treads but the side walls have damage. I found the forum while searching for some info on the bike, it seems a popular model, is there any info on numbers produced ?

Good morning.

I can’t quite believe I haven’t signed up to this forum sooner, to be honest I think I’d used up my enthusiasm for forums after being part of the car scene for many MANY years, but I can’t not share my most recent “purchase”. I say purchase in such a way because this bike has been in my family since my Dad bought it new in 1995(ish). Left to collect dust in his garage since around 2000 I kindly took it off his hands last month.

A near perfect, original (upgraded) spec’d Orange C16r.
The plan is to obviously keep it period correct and to only change what is necessary. The front wheel is still the original wheel when bought new.

I took it out on it’s first Ride yesterday and boy, what a dream. I’ll try and keep you up to date with ‘modifications’

Hello all, I'm a longtime reader and lurker who deiced to join up. I tend to spend more time reading the retro-roadbike section but I do have a retro MTB...a 1995 Cannondale F1000 in stock trim that I've had for the last 15 years. It still has it's Headshok as well as the stock Shimano Deore XT and Coda groupset. Here's a picture I have of it.

This is a great forum and I've learned a lot and enjoy seeing all the great bikes.
